About Us

Who is Jaune Fraise ?

My name is Chloe and I am the founder of Jaune Fraise. This is my adventure in the world of entrepreneurship.

It all started in September 2023 in Montreal by pure chance. I had just finished my graduate degree specializing in business administration at HEC Montréal's University and was wondering if an 8 to 5 job was right for me. At the same time, I received a message from my older sister who told me that she was not able to find bow ties for her dog at the local pet stores for Halloween. Angry about this situation (yes, I was angry at the idea that her puppy wasn't going to have anything to wear for the event - that would have been a sacrilege), I decided to get some pieces of fabric the same day. The next day, I received the fabrics and my mother came to bring me her sewing machine so that I could make my first bow tie!

Then I noticed that there was a distinct lack of curated and creative products on the market - not to mention the quality aspect. Speaking of which, I had to repair several of my sister's bow because they were falling apart. These elements therefore motivated me to continue. What followed was a set of positive coincidences that validated that I had my place in this highly competitive market.

Since then, I have continued to grow my brand. Every day is a rewarding experience and I am amazed every time I see an animal or a person wearing my accessories. This gives me the strength to pursue everything, both for the love I have for animals, and the passion to create something artistic.

This project is thus the result of all the skills I have acquired now. Thank you to everyone around me who supports me every day.

Let's change the world one bow tie at a time!

A little history

Why the name Jaune Fraise (Yellow Strawberry in English) ?

I wanted a colorful name in which I could unleash my creative side and my passion for drawing and graphic design.

After long hours of research, I settled on the name Strawberry (Fraise in French). This word designates one of the first neck accessories which appeared in the 16th century. Its goal is to highlight the face of the wearer, so the fit was perfect with the essence of my brand!

The color Yellow (Jaune in French) jthen came through its association with playfulness, joy, celebration and social relationships.

Jaune Fraise was born by happy coincidence.

The animal and its master above all

Mission and values

Pets have an important place in our lives, as integral members of the family. So, I wanted to enhance this aspect using my creations. In itself, my goal is to democratize the wearing of bow ties (and accessories!) while emphasizing the happiness that these little creatures bring to our daily lives. The well-being of the animal is all the more important; our products are comfortable and do not hinder the animal's movements. After all, they are the star !

Accessibility in private places (e.g. pharmacies, restaurants) is still a difficult subject, because many establishments do not accept our animals. We realized that wearing accessories helps change people's perceptions, either by giving a funny touch to the situation.

In addition to being made in Quebec and by hand, the strength of our products lies in creative arrangements. This way, the master will be able to feel in unison with his four-legged partner. Coquetry never tasted better!

To conclude, we have an ecological conscience and want to increase the local economy while promoting creativity. Thus, our packages are made of recyclable materials and the durability of our products increases the durability of the accessories. We are also very open and attentive to our customers, both with their recommendations and their feedback. These items are greatly cherished and help us improve!
